Prior to Scientology my life was in ruins, I had dropped out of University, was involved in drugs and not working. I read the book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health and the reading of this book alone brought about immediate changes. The truths in this book alone allowed me to see the effects drugs were having on my life, and prompted me to be able to decide to give up drugs. I then went into the local Church of Scientology and through counseling and training the desire and need for drugs disappeared. This was not a case of "thou shall not or I shall not" but a complete lack of any desire or need to take them.

     This was not the end result of my involvement in the technology of Dianetics and Scientology but the beginning of an adventure that has seen wins and gains beyond my wildest dreams. Giving me the tools and ability to live a life.
